ICE-SA advises and assists South African Civil Engineers (students, graduates and M/F/H SAICE ) in becoming an ICE Member.
If you hold PrEng MSAICE (Professional Engineer registered with ECSA and member of SAICE) of at least one year standing,
you can gain ICE Membership via the Mutual Recognition route or the Career Appraisal route.
If you qualify with ICE by mutual recognition, you will not be able to use your title as the basis for registration with other engineering institutions or to use ICE's protected titles 'Chartered Civil Engineer' or 'Chartered Infrastructure Engineer'. If those options are important to you, you can choose to qualify with ICE directly by Professional Review, and ICE will accept your professionally qualified status in lieu of completion of their initial professional development.
Please complete these 2 contact form, and one of our committee members will contact you to advise you on which path to take to ICE Membership.
Form 1: Please complete and submit before completing Form 2
Form 2: Start by filling in your title. Once done, hover over the white circle on the right-hand side and click on the blue arrow that will appear. The next field will show for you to fill. Continue until the form is complete.
